Case Study: Using MoCo SMS Suite in Clubs & Associations

We will illustrate how MoCo SMS Suite can be deployed in various sectors by using different real-life case studies. In this article, we will show you how MoCo SMS Suite can help in non-profit association’s operations. The association’s name in this article is not the actual name.


The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) association of Singapore has over thousands of practising and aspiring TCM phycisians as it’s members. The association regularly conducts classes and workshops for its members.

The association’s management required a system that can perform the following tasks:
1. Disseminate information to its members in an effective and efficient way
2. Send sms to inform their members of any upcoming classes or workshops
3. Send sms to remind their members to attend their registered classes / workshops, 1 or 2 days prior to it

An additonal requirement is that, the system should be able to send sms in Chinese Language because some of the TCM terms are better conveyed in Chinese.

Our Solutions:
We recommended MoCo SMS Suite Professional edition to the association’s managment.

For problem 1:
The Association is able to use MoCo SMS Suite to send out sms to its members. Information is disseminated in an effective and efficient way. Since MoCo SMS Suite supports multi-language sms, the association can choose to send out sms in English or Chinese.

For problem 2 & 3:
We suggested to the Association to use MoCo’s Appointment Book to organize their classes and workshops schedule:

The Appointment Book’s calendar is only available in MoCo SMS Suite Professional edition and it is very handy when comes to organizing course schedule.

When you clicked on any of the items on the calendar, a detailed information page (as shown above) will display for you to enter the detailed information.

As shown in the above figure, the system will send out sms to its members automatically when it is 14 days before the course date, to inform them about the course and instruct them on how to register. The members can simply reply sms to register for the course preview.

One day before the course preview, a reminder sms (as shown in above figure: 2nd sms reminder) will be sent out to those members who has registered for the course preview.

Since MoCo SMS Suite supports multiple Appointment Book, the association can create a different Appointment Book (Calendar) for each classroom. In this way, they can easily checked the availability of different classrooms using the MoCo’s Appointment Book system.

Another useful feature of MoCo SMS Suite’s Appointment Book is that it can track the responses of its recipients. As shown above, it can track the percentage of members who have send confirmation for the course preview. The response can also be generated into a HTML format report which is viewable on any internet browser.

The management and its staff is happy with the new system as it has managed to make their work flow more efficient and there is also significant increase in the course participation of their members.
